Just Add Ink #32

Just Add Ink Challenge #32:

Just add - Material

Just the other day I was cleaning out my cupboards and came across some left over material from when we covered our dining room chairs and made cushions for the couch and I was wondering what I could do with it ... why not use it in this challenge YAY!

Funny story: just after we had bought the material and did up out lounge/dining room, I saw a lady down town wearing the exact same fabric on a shirt, a day later I notice it in the EziBuy Catalogue. So I had bought shirt material for my cushion covers. I have no idea about fabric and can't sew to save my life, hence faux stitching on card as hubby won't buy me a machine to do sewing on card... (my lovely mum made the cushion covers and my hubby stapled the fabric to the dining chairs, no sewing by me required!)

Here is my card, slightly wonky photo 'whoops':
(yes the brown colour fabric is actual suede)

Stamp set: Perfect Punches (sneak peak)

Card Stock: Night of Navy, Very Vanilla, Sahara Sand

Accessories: Sticky strip, Snail, Wide Oval Punch, Choc Chip Stamp Pad, Linen Thread, Mat Pack, White Gel Pen, Choc Chip Double Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Material and Button non SU!

I have made a little 'Hello' card for some special people in my life but can't tell you who they are as they haven't got them yet :-)

I received the Cottage Garden stamp set just the other day so thought it worth while to have a play with it. I am also running low on some card stock and am really hanging out until I can order all the new card stock from the new Catalogue (only 5 days to go YEAH!), so been trying to use up alot of scraps.

Stamp set: Cottage Garden, Tiny Tags

Card Stock: Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze, Very Vanilla, DSP Bella Bleu

Accessories: Big Shot (Top Note, Vintage Wall Paper Embossing Folder), Stamp Pads (Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze), Tag punch, 1.6cm Ballet Blue Grosgrain Ribbon, Mat Pack, Hemp Twine, SNAIL, Sticky Strip, Sponge Daubers, Stampin' Dimensionals.

Top Note Gift Box

Here is a cute little and very easy to make gift box. I have seen this on quite a few different sites so I unfortunately cannot remember where I first saw it.
We borrowed some camping gear off some friends while Auntie Sally was visiting so I decided to give this box ago and fill it with chocolates as a Thank-you. I was so surprised at how quick it was to make thanks to my Big Shot machine (just loving it), anyway here is the box, hope you like it too:

Top View:
Side View, the lid is on a hinge so when ribbon comes off lid stays attached:
Stamp Set: Wow Flowers

Card Stock: Not Quite Navy, Sahara Sand, DSP Bella Blue

Accessories: Big Shot Top Note Die, Not Quite Navy Stamp Pad, Punches (Large Oval, Scallop Oval), Ribbon (1.6cm Brocade Blue Grosgrain, Kraft Taffeta), Hemp Twine, Snail, Sticky Strip & Yummy Chocolates LOL!!!

Just Add Ink #30

Morning All,

Well over at the Just Add Ink site they have been very busy with Helping Hudson, there is only one week left at Helping Hudson so head over to the website and check out all the wonderful tutorials and fun to be had.

Now Just Add Ink challenge is:

Just Add...Wheels
(circles, wheels, stampin round wheels, anything that is circular really).

I don't know if I am in the rules to do this but thought that I am Helping Hudson with my entry (and I don't have time to make anything else) so here goes...

This is a card my gorgeous sister Kylie made, she has just signed up as a SU! Demo so is yet to set-up a blog. Anyway she made this card at my house when she was visiting and made it for my Mr 2 who turned 2 last month and is currently facinated by trains.
I think it is gorgeous:
I don't have time to put all the details of the card in so if you would like any info please contact me.

Have a lovely Sunday...we are having a very belated birthday party for Mr 2 as his Auntie Sally is here visiting and wanted to be part of the fun.

xxx Katie

Helping Hudson, Week 2, Sketch

Here is the 3rd and last challenge for this week from Helping Hudson.

Sketch Challenge:
I found this challenge very hard as I am not a circle person. The colours, I think, are an unusual combo but I was going through my scraps and they were lying together and just looked so right with the butterflies. I really like the card I made...what do you think:

Stamp set: Garden Whimsy

Card Stock: Very Vanilla, Apricot Appeal, Sahara Sand, DSP Bella Bleu

Accessories: Stampin' Writes (Sahara Sand, Apricot Appeal, Barely Banana), Circle Scissor Plus, Mat Pack, Boho Blossoms Punch, Pumpkin Rhinestone Brad, Dimensionals, Snail, Spomge Daubers, retired grosgrain ribbon.

Helping Hudson, Week 2, 3D

Week 2 at Helping Hudson has some great challenges - and I mean challenges, I really had to rack my brain to come up with this one as well as the layout challenge which I am yet to attempt... anyway here it is:

3D Project using Octagon box template
Some of the ladies have come up with some excellent idea's. Check out Helping Hudson for all the crafty idea's.
Unfortunately I don't really think out the square much so my octagon box it just that, a box. Anyway hope you like it, it is filled with a nailfile/buffer and small hand cream:

Stamp set: Sweet Little Sentiments (09-10 Hostess L 1), Asian Artistry (Autumn/Winter Hostess L 2)

Card Stock: Rich Razzleberry, Perfect Plum, Whisper White, DSP Cottage Wall & Raspberry Tart

Accessories: Ribbon (Rich Razzleberry Polka Dot Grosgrain, 1.6cm Regal Rose Grosgrain), Pretty in Pink Stamp Pad, Stampin' Writes (Pretty in Pink, Perfect Plum, Old Olive), Punches (Eyelet Border, Scallop Oval, Large Oval, Small Oval), Sticky Strip, Snail, Pink circle Rhinestone Brads, Hemp Twine, Linen Thread.

Now to think of something for the layout challenge (with circles...eeeekkk...I don't really do circles)

Helping Hudson, Week 2, Card 1

Helping Hudson is into it's second week and again there are 3 new challenges. Here is the first one:

Colour Challenge: When I first saw these colours I thought AWESOME for man card, but if you have a look at my blog you will see that I have gone slightly overboard with Fathers Day cards, so I decided to make it a PRETTY card. Now for all you out there that have looked at most of my work you would notice that I really don't do alot of bling ... Today the card has some bling, a bit of dazzling diamonds on the tips of the wings and around the scallop oval punch. I have also put 2 score lines on the Choc Chip cardstock at the top and bottom..

Anyway here it is: Stamp Set: Organic Grace, Sweet Little sentiments (both level 1 Hostess sets from 2009-2010 catalogue)

Card Stock: Chocolate Chip, So Saffron, Bashful Blue (don't have Baja Breeze)

Accessories: Punches (Scallop Edge, Scallop Oval, Large Oval), Chocolate Chip Stamp Pad, Bashful Blue Taffeta Ribbon, Choc Chip 2.5cm Double Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds, Papersnips, Snail, Sticky Strip, 2 Way Glue Pen

My mum LOVES dragonflies so this will be a little something for her xxx
