Just Add Ink #48

It has been a long time since I have had the time to complete a Just Add Ink Challenge.

This week I needed a little thank-you gift for a friend so to get me started I checked out what Just Add Ink was offering.

It is a Sketch this week (and it is going for 2 weeks so you have until Wed 29th Dec to play along):
Using the sketch as a starting point I have designed a little box with some homemade delights in it. Yummy - Wish I received it LOL. I also hadn't yet used the gorgeous Concord Crush card stock and for some reason I wanted to team it with my Certainly Celery Striped Grosgrain ribbon, strange combination but I think it has turned out lovely!!!

Here is the empty box:

Here is the box full of yummy delights:

Stamp Set: Yummy (retired Sale-a-bration set 09)

Card Stock: Concord Crush, Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, Whisper White, Lap of Luxury DSP

Punches: Scallop Circle Extra Large, 3.2cm Circle, Modern Label, Scallop Trim Corner

Accessories: Stamp Pad (Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink), 3.2cm Striped Grosgrain Certainly Celery Ribbon, Snail, Sticky Strip, Sponge Daubers.

Goodbye, Farewell

Oh farewells and goodbye's are sad but we always wish the very best for anyone that moves away and start a-fresh in a different place.

I have a friend that is moving from NT to QLD on Christmas Eve and wish her and her family all the very best and a great new adventure. I know first hand all the feelings that go with moving on as we are also about to embark on a HUGE 2011 moving from NT to WA to own our own business.

Anyway I have made her a little token to take and cherish and remember all the great times we have had together in Mothers Group, at the Park, down at the Pool.

I have made a cute little moving card using the very versitile Loads of Love (and Accessories), and a gorgeous little box to hold some fabulous bookmarks with photos of all the great locations up where we live.

I have crystal effected the truck and looks really 3D in real life, here is the card and box:

Baby Shower Gift

Here are some photos of a little baby shower gift I made for a lovely friend of mine. She is part of our mothers group so we all throw in $5 each and give a little gift at the baby shower and then when bubba is born we all buy our own presents.

Anyway I am loving the Top Note die so thought I would make a cute little box to hold 4 pairs of Bubba Socks and a beauty gift voucher for mum to spend before Bub arrives.

Hope you enjoy looking:

A Boys Day

I have had a chance to get into the craftroom and make some cards. It was a challenge though as I needed to make 3 male cards, 1st Birthday, Hubby's Birthday, and my Dad's 60th card. Woozzzers what a day.

-------------------------------------

Here is the first card it is for a 1st Birthday, this gorgeous little boy was born on Christmas day so I have really made it a "blokey" card, so that it is totally apart from Christmas:

Stamp Set: Fox & Friends, Occasional Quotes (L3 hostess 2010-11)

Card Stock: Night of Navy, Not Quite Navy, More Mustard, Always Artichoke, Garden Green, Whisper White.

Big Shot: Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Timeless Type Junior Alphabet Sizzlits Die

Accessories: Stamp Pad (More Mustard), Curly Label Extra Large Punch, Night of Navy Grosgrain Ribbon, Snail, Dimensionals, Sticky Strip, and Kitchen String.

-------------------------------------

This next card is for Hubby, and yes he is a blokey bloke and really doesn't like too much bling so I have kept it very simple and I have tried to incorporate our up and coming adventure into it (we are moving State and buying our own business so a BIG 2011 for our family).

Thanks to www.splitcoaststampers.com for the inspiration for this card.

Stamp Set: Unchartered Territory (Retired)

Card Stock: Early Expresso, Wild Wasabi, Very Vanilla

Accessories: Stamp Pad (Early Expresso), Pear Pizzaz Poly Stitched Ribbon, Antique Brads, Snail, Sticky Strip, Dimensionals, and Kitchen String.

-------------------------------------

Finally the last card - my Dad / Gramps is turning 60. Not that long ago he bought his 'dream' boat hence the picture and the sentiment.

This is the first time I have attempted a 'swing card', you can see tutorials on how to make these on YouTube, I watched them and then just made mine to my own dimensions.

Stamp Set: Seaworthy, Teeny Tiny Sentiments

Card Stock: Night of Navy, Not Quite Navy, Sahara Sand, Whisper White, Blueberry Crisp DSP

Big Shot: Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Timeless Type Junior Alphabet Sizzlits Die

Accessories: Stamp Pad (Night of Navy), Night of Navy 3.2cm Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Punches (Modern Label Extra Large, Oval Large), Snail, Sticky Strip, Dimensionals, and Kitchen String.

I hope you have liked looking at these cards ... and do you get the feeling that I 'love' using kitchen string - cheap but so effective, why don't you give it a go!

Just Add Ink #45 & We Stamp for Lara

I have decided to add the this card into 2 challenges today.
The first challenge being Just Add Ink #45, Sketch Challenge:
and because the Just Add Ink girls have been such wonderful support for the "We Stamp for Lara" fundraiser I thought I would combine the sketch with the "We Stamp for Lara" Challenge 4, Inspirational Photo:

As I am trying to get this post done before the challenge for Just Add Ink closes I don't have time for the details but if you would like them let me know I will provide them too you.
