A Boys Day

I have had a chance to get into the craftroom and make some cards. It was a challenge though as I needed to make 3 male cards, 1st Birthday, Hubby's Birthday, and my Dad's 60th card. Woozzzers what a day.

-------------------------------------

Here is the first card it is for a 1st Birthday, this gorgeous little boy was born on Christmas day so I have really made it a "blokey" card, so that it is totally apart from Christmas:

Stamp Set: Fox & Friends, Occasional Quotes (L3 hostess 2010-11)

Card Stock: Night of Navy, Not Quite Navy, More Mustard, Always Artichoke, Garden Green, Whisper White.

Big Shot: Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Timeless Type Junior Alphabet Sizzlits Die

Accessories: Stamp Pad (More Mustard), Curly Label Extra Large Punch, Night of Navy Grosgrain Ribbon, Snail, Dimensionals, Sticky Strip, and Kitchen String.

-------------------------------------

This next card is for Hubby, and yes he is a blokey bloke and really doesn't like too much bling so I have kept it very simple and I have tried to incorporate our up and coming adventure into it (we are moving State and buying our own business so a BIG 2011 for our family).

Thanks to www.splitcoaststampers.com for the inspiration for this card.

Stamp Set: Unchartered Territory (Retired)

Card Stock: Early Expresso, Wild Wasabi, Very Vanilla

Accessories: Stamp Pad (Early Expresso), Pear Pizzaz Poly Stitched Ribbon, Antique Brads, Snail, Sticky Strip, Dimensionals, and Kitchen String.

-------------------------------------

Finally the last card - my Dad / Gramps is turning 60. Not that long ago he bought his 'dream' boat hence the picture and the sentiment.

This is the first time I have attempted a 'swing card', you can see tutorials on how to make these on YouTube, I watched them and then just made mine to my own dimensions.

Stamp Set: Seaworthy, Teeny Tiny Sentiments

Card Stock: Night of Navy, Not Quite Navy, Sahara Sand, Whisper White, Blueberry Crisp DSP

Big Shot: Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Timeless Type Junior Alphabet Sizzlits Die

Accessories: Stamp Pad (Night of Navy), Night of Navy 3.2cm Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Punches (Modern Label Extra Large, Oval Large), Snail, Sticky Strip, Dimensionals, and Kitchen String.

I hope you have liked looking at these cards ... and do you get the feeling that I 'love' using kitchen string - cheap but so effective, why don't you give it a go!
