Cyberstamping & JAI Challenge

What a lovely weekend relaxing, just what I needed :-)

On Saturday night the Elite Stampers got together for a Cyberstamp. I have never done a Cyberstamp but it was lots of fun. One of the ladies put out 3 challenges over about 2-3hrs. You could go away and do the challenges but I did them all that night.

I am going to start at the end (challenge 3) as I combined this challenge with latest Just Add Ink #71 challenge. WoW can't believe it has been about 6 months since I have done a JAI challenge (every Fri they bring out new challenge, closes on Wed & best picks chosen on Thurs).

The challenges were:

JAI: Just add Black and White

Elite Stampers: Use at least 3 different accessories (more than one button) & the only stamp can be a greeting... (I have used DSP, Ribbon, 3 Buttons & added just a little Dazzling Diamonds)

The card is actually made for one of our mechanics that has just gotten engaged and will be having an engagement party soon...What do you think, I am feeling it is very 'Funky' :

Stampset: Occassional Quotes

Card Stock: Basic Black, Very Vanilla, DSP Newsprint

Inks: Stamp pad (Basic Black)

Accessories: Black Satin Ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds, Black Buttons, Heart to Heart Punch, Snail, Sticky Strip, Multipurpose Glue

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now Elite Stampers challenge 2 involved picking a page from the current Ideas book & catalogue, choosing a card layout from that page then casing it using a retiring stamp set from the US catalogue.

My card is case from pg 50 using the retiring set Cheers to You:

Stampset: Cheers to You

Cardstock: Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Whisper White

Inks: Stamp pad (Staz-on Black, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Real Red, Regal Rose, Temping Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie)

Bigshot: Elegant Lines Embossing Folder

Accessories: Punches (4.4cm, 3.5cm & 3.2cm Circle) Tempting Turquoise Satin Ribbon, Blender Pens, Basic Rhinestones Snail, Sticky Strip, Multipurpose Glue, Dimensionals

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And now the first challenge, which I found the hardest was a colour challenge, Wild Wisabi, Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip & Very Vanilla BUT with the theme Birthday:

Stampset: Pendant Park, Fabulous Phrases

Cardstock: Wild Wisabi, Crumb Cake, Choc Chip, Very Vanilla

Inks: Stamp pad (Wild Wisabi, Choc Chip, Versamark)

Accessories: Hemp Twine, Antique Brad, Cutter Kit (using the distressing tool), Snail, Sticky Strip, Dimensionals.

Three very different cards all completed in a couple of hours. What a great night.... Thanks girls

  1. Definately some funky effects in your black and white card Katie. The buttons and knotted ribbon look great! Thanks for playing at Just Add Ink.
