My regional swaps...

By popular demand (hee hee), here are the swaps I made for the WA Stampin' Up! Regionals held last weekend in Perth.

I have never been to a regionals before as living in the Northern Territory we didn't get them, they did do a survey while I was up there too see who would be interesting in going to Darwin, unfortunately for me it was either a $450 return flight or 10hrs on a dirt track then another 5 hrs on the Hwy so not really viable for us.
As soon as the WA applications opened I was registered and so very excited to met other Stampin' Up! Demo's.

Well the day didn't disappoint. We first started by arriving and reciving our packs. Then we got to mingle with everyone and swap our cards...Thank you to all the ladies I swapped with, excellent idea's, everyone made such an effort and I have come away with idea's I have never thought of.

During the morning we were given presentations and examples from both SU headoffice demo's and also local WA demo's. All fabulous idea's and great presentations, definately a few laughs had as well.
After lunch we attacked our Make & Takes with the stamp-set we received. I didn't get them all done as I was busy socialising but all ok because I can finish them at home.

I was lucky enough to sit on a table with my upline, Lisa, my downline Nicole, 2 of Lisa's downlines and a new friend Shannon who I have 'chatted' to through FB page but had never met. Thanks lovely ladies for making our table fun and exciting.

Now after all that babbling here are my 2 swaps, I made 2 due to lack of cardstock but alot of the swaps I received where front of cards only, which is a great idea and doesn't use up as much cardstock:

---------------------------------------------------------------
There is a few 'firsts' on this card
-First time I have used my medallion stamp on a card
-New DSP & Ribbon
-First time I have used this techinque: paper curling

I have also thought it would really nice with a touch of shimmer paint on the edges of the medallion stamp but I didn't have the patience to do 25 of them so they went without.

This next one I challenged myself, I am hopeless at making my own punch art, most of the punch art I do is CASE'd from someone else. This time I wanted to do my own and make an Aussie Christmas card...

I went and found Master 3's favourite cuddly toy, which is called Kiki the Koala and well I supposed I CASE'd the card from him, what do you think, pretty cute hey. I am very proud of myself (am I allowed to blow my own horn???)
